Hello
I'd like to take this opportunity to share a little about myself and tell you how I became a professional wedding photographer. I guess like most it started from an enjoyment of photography as a hobby. I still remember saving up my pocket money to buy my first camera. It wasn't until around the age of 26 when I realised this hobby could turn in to a career.

My Story
From an early age it wasn't photography that I desired to have a career in, it was actually Musical Theatre, and that is exactly what I did, I studied Music Performance in York where I achieved a BA (hons). Following my studies in York I then went on to train in Musical Theatre at The London School of Musical Theatre. After four years of studying and training I was finally set free in to the big wide world, there was lots of serving tables, late nights, and living the 'London life' auditioning for all sorts of shows, musicals, plays and TV/film.

After five years living in London, a few Pantomimes, a UK tour, and a small role for a TV show that aired in America, the dreaded pandemic hit and closed the industry down overnight. It was at this point like everyone, new ideas to make a living started to spring to mind, it was during this time I really thought about my photography, and how it could go from a hobby to a career. So that is exactly what I did, I went from an avid amateur photographer to learning and soaking in as much information as I could possibly find to advance my knowledge and skill.

Little did I know my performing career had not quite come to an end yet. Coming out of the pandemic auditions started popping up again and I was still signed to my agent who started to send some auditions through, one of which was a Lead Vocalist for Princess Cruises. You guessed it, I landed the job, it was the biggest job i'd landed as a performer so I decided to take it leaving my Wedding Photography on the back burner for now. I was flown out to LA for two months rehearsals and then set sail for two world cruises, where I visited around 30 countries and countless ports, I saw two of the seven wonders of the world and Princess Cruises is also where I met my partner, Becky, which brings us to today.

After the cruise contract finished, myself and Becky was ready for 'land life' as we called it, the drive for a stable income and a house instead of a box room in London or a cabin on a ship sounded more appealing than ever. Welcome back Wedding Photography. I shot my first wedding for free unknowing if this was really something I would enjoy or whether snapping shots for a hobby would be the extent of my photography. Wow I was wrong, or right, which ever way you look a it. I loved it, the buzz of the wedding day, capturing a couples wedding day was a completely different experience to taking a shot of a waterfall, or a car, or whatever it may have been before. The rest is now 'history' as they say. I love every part of my job, from meeting the couples, shooting the wedding day, editing the photos and then delivering those special moments to the couple so they can look back and remember their wedding day as it was. To me, wedding photography does not feel like work or a job, thats the dream right?! So i'd like to thank you for considering myself as your wedding photographer and I would also like to extend my thanks to all my previous couples who chose me to capture their wedding day. It may sound cliche, but it really is an honour.

So thats my story, a brief run down of how I got to where I am today as a wedding photographer, it may not be your most conventional way to become a wedding photographer but here we are. I love what I do and I will always give 100% no matter what.

Trust & Confidence
When selecting a wedding photographer to capture one of, if not, the most important day in your life, trust and confidence are paramount. I assure you that you can place your trust in me without hesitation. One of the primary reasons for this is my unwavering commitment to ensuring your special day is flawlessly documented. I am equipped with not one, but two professional-grade cameras, each featuring dual memory card slots. This means that every shot taken during your wedding is automatically written to both memory cards simultaneously. This meticulous redundancy guarantees that no fleeting moment goes unrecorded, assuring you of comprehensive coverage and eliminating the risk of data loss.

Furthermore, I understand the value of your wedding photos and the importance of preserving those memories. To provide an additional layer of security, I have a rigorous backup protocol in place. Within 24 hours of your wedding, all your precious images are transferred to two separate external hard drives. This level of redundancy ensures that your photos are safeguarded with the utmost care and diligence, granting you the peace of mind you deserve when it comes to your treasured memories.

Ultimately, my commitment to delivering exceptional wedding photography services extends beyond the technical aspects. I am passionate about capturing your wedding day for what it is, every real moment, even moments that you may have missed, ensuring that each image transports you back to your special day. My work is a testament to my dedication to preserving the moments that matter most, and I am genuinely honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of documenting your special day.
